Founded in 2005, Spazio Forma is the city's only space dedicated to photography. Exhibitions highlight the medium's history and practitioners; there are also occasional shows devoted to fashion and design photography. Housed in a former tram shed, the centre runs courses and workshops (in Italian), and has an excellent bookshop. Subjects of past exhibitions have included Richard Avedon, Elliot Erwitt, Josef Koudelka and Peter Lindbergh.
