The over-the-top marble foyer and reams of polished oak are a fine antidote to Milan's proliferation of design hotels. Most of the rooms are stately and traditional, complete with lavish marble bathrooms and Acqua di Parma toiletries. Frank Sinatra, Robert De Niro and Madonna have all stayed in the presidential suite, which has its own pool. Staff are efficient and down to earth, and the gym is one of the best in Milan, with panoramic views of the city. The location isn't the best, but it's an easy stroll from here to the centre of town.

We were kept awake all night by a noisy wedding going on downstairs in the hotel (noisy drumming, noisy band).
Called reception to complain. They refused to tell the band to turn down the volume. They also refused to refund the cost of the lost night's sleep.
At 300 euros plus for a premium review, you expect a comfortable, quiet night's sleep.
Poor, very poor !
