Discretion and luxury are the watchwords at this award-winning hotel, which continues to be a favourite with the fashion and film crowd. No doubt they love the location, slap bang in the middle of the Quadrilatero della Moda. The hotel is housed in a 15th-century convent, although - apart from the idyllic, cloistered courtyard that many of the rooms face on to - you would never know it. Each of the spacious guest rooms is individually designed, with Fortuny fabrics and pear and sycamore wood furniture, as well as CD and DVD players. Some suites have parts of the original frescoes, as do the the library bar and lobby. The opulent marble bathrooms are kept toasty with underfloor heating, and well stocked with huge towels and plush bathrobes.
