The only official youth hostel in Milan is out in the suburbs near the San Siro football stadium, though the nearby Lotto metro station makes it easy to reach the centre. The garden provides a welcome escape from city traffic; there are also washing machines on site. Staff are sometimes not the friendliest, but that doesn't stop the place being full most of the time, no doubt because of the rates (which include breakfast).
