Husband and wife Antonio Boschi and Marieda di Stefano took their modern art collection seriously: they once sold their car to buy more paintings, and even hid part of their collection behind a false wall in their country home during the war. So it's no surprise that they left their life's work to the people of Milan. The foundation opened its doors in February 2003, with ten rooms filled with 250 works of 20th-century art up through the 1970s.
