Il Teatro review Rate it
The flagship restaurant of one of Milan's flagship hotels doesn't disappoint. Il Teatro has a formal atmosphere (crisp tablecloths, immaculate table settings and lots of waiters) and looks on to a beautiful courtyard, but Sergio Mei Tomasi's award-winning food is the real star. The recipes are traditionally Milanese - ossobucco, tagliatta of beef and costoletta - but there's a real touch of class in each dish. More playful are the desserts: the lime tart comes drizzled in balsamic vinegar, and the ginger and mango ice cream has a tangy edge.
