Les années 50 : La mode en France

The Palais Galliera is filling with wasp waists and cocktail dresses this summer, for an exhibition focussing on French style during the 1950s. It was a key era for fashion mores, as traditional elegance began to accommodate a more relaxed approach to women's ready-to-wear fashions, particularly the arrival of jeans and figure-hugging jumpers.
