Monumenta is a contemporary art show that has been hosted in the hall of the Grand Palais since 2007 – initially annual, it now takes place every two years. As its name suggets, this isn’t a show about bright young things, but rather a platform to celebrate an established big name, including the likes of Anselm Kiefer, Richard Serra, Daniel Buren and Anish Kapoor. The 2016 edition is devoted to Huang Yong Ping, a major figure of the Chinese avant-garde – and the show promises to be an immersive delight.
