Where some guys will spend their free time leafing through lads' mags and ogling pictures of nubile young things, Paolo Giardi busies himself turning said girls into leaves. For his new work ‘You Can Learn a Lot of Things from the Flowers’, the Italian artist has fashioned sixty-six cuttings from vintage erotic magazines into strange plant-like forms. In his twisted arboretum, belly buttons bloom from cacti, nipples grow on ivy, and the heat and humidity of a greenhouse give way to teats and tumidity.
