Hôtel Crayon

Brilliantly situated near the Louvre in a neighbourhood full of great restaurants, Hôtel Crayon offers colour therapy with rooms painted top to toe in a choice of 16 hues. Each also features a life-size hand-drawn nude pencilled on the wall in a Matisse style, a white bathroom with colour accents where vintage furniture has been adapted to support contemporary sinks, silky smooth cotton bedlinen and random vintage holiday snaps collected from flea markets and mounted in frames. You can order a selection of meals via room service, and a copious breakfast is served in the vaulted breakfast room. The ground floor also has an honesty bar decked out with 1950s furniture and a selection of newspapers and magazines. For the same price as a run-of-the-mill three-star, this boutique hotel offers a wonderful experience in a great location.
