King Krule

Critics' choice

King Krule, the hotly buzzed one-man act of mopey teenager Brit Archy Marshall, is not to be overlooked. His music is languid post-punk, given a veil of romanticism by the echoing, ’50s guitar tone he expertly uses and lyrics about the bleakness of youth he delivers with a shockingly deep voice. He'll be performing tracks from his excellent 2013 debut '6 Feet Beneath the Moon' at La Cigale on April 4.
