Starting the soirée is the Aälma Dili trio on double bass, guitar and violin: In Romani Aälma means "soul" and dili "melody " and the group does just what it says on the box – create melodious, soulful sound that gets your feet tapping. Next up, the eight piece orchestra Ziveli Orkestar crank things up with their energetic variations of traditional Balkan music; before DJ Tagada and Raki Balkans Sound System splice the first night of the year away with gypsy-punk, electro-tzigane and even Balkan-ragga.
