Sited in the Hotel du Louvre, which faces a national monument from each façade, the ground floor Brasserie du Louvre is typically decorated in golden walls, dark wood, bentwood chairs, white table linens and brass fittings. Open for every meal, the kitchen is under the direction of Mehdi Corthier who offers classic dishes and a weekly-changing menu of specials. You might find grilled foie gras of duck in terrine with rhubarb compote, half-smoked, half-cooked salmon with endive and orange, and panna cotta with passion fruit and pineapple jelly. A terrace comes into its own in the summer months.
