It’s a rare day that finds Le Manège de l'Ecuyer less than full of a lunchtime. This is a brilliant little neighbourhood restaurant near the Louvre and Place Vendome that packs them in day after day with the guarantee of generous plates of house-made goose breast in acacia honey, chicken casserole or snails from a well-priced treasure trove of regional and traditional French specials chalked up on a big black board. For good food, simply prepared and served with a smile in a quiet, charming bistro setting in the 1st arrondissement, Le Manège de l'Ecuyer is hard to beat. And that’s without mentioning another of Le Manège de l'Ecuyer’s attributes; a well chosen wine list.
