Les Ronchons restaurant is found in a particularly ancient part of the Left Bank with views over the Seine and Notre Dame's flying buttresses, yet the milieu here is up to date and modern in every good way. With pale blond woods, pastel terra cotta walls, French blue table linens and wide plate glass windows, the dining room is smart, simple and comfortable. The menu features excellent ingredients in classic French dishes like sauteed seasonal mushrooms, guinea fowl with cabbage cooked in butter, and babas au rhum. The wine list includes both new discoveries and grand labels and the service couldn't be bettered.
