Time Out says

Marvellous jam shop La Chambre aux Confitures stocks a delicious hodgepodge of flavours from France and overseas, an ever-evolving rainbow of coloured pots that changes with the seasons. No colorants or preservatives here, just artisanal ingredients with unusual flavours – medlar, quince, kumquat, elderberry, cranberry or rhubarb – mixing with more classic flavours like cherry, blackberry, apricot and plum. Then there are the mixtures, like strawberries and champagne or red fruits and mulled wine. You can taste before you buy, and small pots are €4.50, bigger sizes between €6.50 and €10. Sometimes just reading the labels is part of the pleasure, recalling country hedgerows with rosehips, wild peaches and violets.

There’s a savoury range as well, with pastes for pairing with cheese – cherry and chilli to go with Brébis or goat’s cheese, dried fruits with Armagnac or roasted apples with Calvados to go with Camembert or Pont-l’Evêque. For meat or foie gras, there’s onion confit with morels, Beaujoulais or cassis, and cider jelly. And there’s still more: a range of honeys from the Ardèche, candied chestnuts, salted butter caramels, chocolate and tea. For a special gift, you can have your jam pot label customised.
