Take up needles and wool at Les Tricoteurs Volants (The Flying Knitters), a charming haberdashery run by wool fanatic Enrico. You’ll find a solid selection of knitting utensils and colourful balls of wool (ranging from €2 to €39) – Enrico chooses his suppliers carefully and sells top-quality materials, from Britain-bred alpaca to wool produced by renowned eco-friendly French textile mill Valgaudemar.
Enrico also offers two-hour classes in designing your own patterns, knitting in the round, casting off and more for €35 a session. If you just can’t get your fingers around it, Enrico takes personalised orders too and is happy to customise materials and patterns to order.
