A truly unusual teatime can be had at Plaisir d'équi'Thé, which is a sort of cross between a family home, a homeware boutique and a tea room. You'll find it just near Bastille, where a couple and their three children have given over a part of their home to a project which, while not at the level of a concept store, is rather more charming. You can buy pretty much everything in the café, from the books on the shelves to the crockery, while in the evenings it's also possible to spot the family meal being prepared, or even hear the kids practising the piano. Prices are very reasonable, and while not high fashion, the whole experience is uniquely charming.
