Sneak peek: Mirrors George Town
In the wake of George Town Festival 2012 (GTF 2012), international artist Ernest Zacharevic (pictured above) breathes stories and colours to the walls of George Town's heritage buildings with this street art project named 'Mirrors George Town', which will have him continue to paint large scale wall paintings in celebration of GTF 2012. Having recently completed his third mural, here's a look at some of his finished murals in this ambitious art project:
Two children roaming the streets of George Town. Armenian Street.
The jetties' daily commute on murky waters. Chew Jetty.
Inspired by Zacharevic's eight-year-old art student at Wushu practice. Muntri Street
Also watch this fun time lapse video of Ernest painting one of the murals he did last year at the junction of Armenian and Pitt Street:
In conjunction with 'Mirrors George Town', Ernest is currently holding a photo contest where you can submit your most creative shot of the Armenian Street wall painting on his Facebook page for public voting. Contest ends July 5.
