The location is perfect. During its daily happy hour between 5pm and 8pm, you’ll be able to end your workday with two for the price of one beer or cocktail, guaranteeing a lovely evening.
To complete that, Sigi’s beach bar has a cocktail menu that can match the island’s balmy and breezy evenings. Their tall drinks such as Sex by The Beach, classic Mojito and everything else that should be served in a martini glass are as colourful as they are intoxicating. However, there are also a range of colourful and cool mocktails to choose from for the teatotallers.
Sigi’s, renovated after more than two decades of existence, re-opened its doors six months ago. Today, it has a sprawling patio and an upper deck to give guests a sweeping view of the beach and sea. These conglomerates of spacious spaces, including the indoor dining room, comfortably sit close to 250 people.
The beach bar, covered by a triangular tarpaulin is the epitome of a tropical beach bar – sandy, with a relaxed and casual ambience.
To further enhance the beach mood, their revamped pool food menu offers easy, familiar fare such as burgers, pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven, pastas and local favourites. After which the dinner menu takes over with carpaccio, steaks, paella for two and pastas mingling with lobster or grilled duck.
The charming thing about the food here is, some of the herbs are plucked straight out of their back garden. Sigi’s herbs and spice garden was setup by the good people of Tropical Spice Garden in Teluk Bahang and it certainly gives the menu a fresh feel.
As if good food, fresh air and toe-sinking sand are not enough, the bar hosts live music three times a week. It’s truly an easy place to be in and to get to, being right at the beginning of Batu Ferringhi’s bustling stretch. Conveniently, there’s ample, guarded, complimentary parking space between the two main entrances of Rasa Sayang and Golden Sands resorts. All we can add to that is, cheers!
