Like every good eatery in Penang, this family-run business can trace its popularity to its own bak chang (rice dumpling) family recipe passed down from one generation to the next. Motorcyclists often whizz by to their shopfront for a takeaway of their famous dumplings: Hokkien dumpling, Cantonese dumpling and Special Golden dumpling. If you're eating in with a few friends, then go for Guangdong's largest named Guo Zheng Zong. Perfect for sharing (preferably with five people), the dumpling is stuffed with chicken meat, duck meat, roasted pork, salted egg, chestnuts, dried oysters and other goodies. There are other things to order off their menu if you're not a fan of rice dumpling like their red bean soup and yam cake.
