Known to be one of the largest wet markets in Penang, expect a variety of stalls enticing its customers with local fruits, fresh produce and vegetables. While you're at it, pick up a hearty nasi lemak, char kuay kak (stir-fried ricecake strips) or Hakka noodles for a breakfast on the go. Every Tuesday night, this market transforms into a bustling night bazaar filled with even more street snacks to enjoy like ban chang kuih (crispy pancakes), nutmeg juice and homemade cakes. Remember to bring lots of small change.
