Singer songwriter and American Idol finalist, Casey Abrams will headline the Penang Island Jazz Festival's opening concert this December. Born and raised in Texas, Abrams traded the classic country for R&B music, thanks to Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra and James Taylor as musical inspirations. While Abrams's musical dexterity stemmed from his share of classical bass, piano, improvisation and jazz ensembles, the talented American lad will perform tracks from his latest album, 'Get Out' and we hope a couple of jazz covers too. Opening the concert is Malaysia's acoustic pop favourite, Liyana Fizi. Tickets are now available at Ticketpro.
