Free 50-minute guided tours of the Riksdagshuset are given in Swedish, English and German. The guides are exceptionally well informed and the tour is interesting enough - if you don't mind a little education. You'll see the modern semicircular main chamber; at the front is a large tapestry, Memory of a Landscape by Elisabet Hasselberg Olsson, woven in 200 shades of grey. Beneath the chamber lies the former bank hall, now a lobby for the parliamentarians. In the old building, where the tour begins and ends, visitors are shown the grand former main entrance with its marble columns and busts of prime ministers, as well as the old dual chambers (now used as meeting rooms).
