Kungliga Operan

Kungliga Operan review Rate it

The Royal Opera, founded in 1733 and one of Europe's oldest opera houses, is home to Sweden's finest classical company, the Royal Ballet. The dancers are outstanding and, though the repertoire is usually traditional, there is occasionally some modern work on show. For example, eminent choreographer Birgitta Egerbladh has visited, flexing the feet of some astonished classical dancers. The interior is completely over the top - the chandelier weighs two tons and the Golden Room is simply stunning.
