Flanked by the trees of Stockholm's greenest island, its small garden full of peonies, the Hasselbacken's setting is delightful. Typically Scandinavian in style, its 122 rooms are comfortable and unfussy. It's a popular wedding venue, and the terrace and elegant Restaurang Hasselbacken are busy all weekend. Note that there is no local subway, so access is by bus, tram or the small ferry from Slussen. But the Hasselbacken does put you just a short walk from the Vasamuseet and Skansen, Stockholm's most popular tourist attractions.
