Postmuseum review Rate it

Life-size scenes depicting more than 360 years of the Swedish postal service make the main exhibit of this museum unexpectedly enjoyable. A mounted postal carrier, a farm boy running with the mail and a postal train wagon, among other tableaux, illustrate the effect of the postal service on people's lives over the centuries. From 1720 until 1869, the city's only post office was housed on this spot. Lilla Posten downstairs includes a miniature post office for kids and the gift shop sells stationery and, of course, stamps.
