Founded way back in 1933, Fylkingen is the place to be if you're into new music and intermedia art. It's always been committed to new and experimental forms: 'happenings', musical theatre and text-sound compositions were prominent during the 1960s. In recent years, an increasing amount of ambitious performance art and dance have been presented. Fylkingen holds several festivals every year; check the website for details of forthcoming events.
