The Non-Conformists

The Virreina brings back one of the earliest works by Martin Parr, 'The Non-Conformists', a project he worked on with Susie Mitchell and that makes reference to the Methodist and Baptist communities near Yorkshire. In 1975 the photographer portrayed the daily life of the towns of Hebden Bridge and Calderdale and their people – factory workers, miners and farmers with an independent spirit.
