Her sultry voice has triumphed on stages around the globe as she sings with a wide variety of rhythms. Some say that Concha Buika doesn't sing flamenco, jazz, blues and soul, but that she is a genre in herself. Born in Mallorca, Buika is the daughter of exiled Guineans and grew up in a gypsy neighbourhood of Palma. For years now, her broken voice was the Catalans' great little secret. But her appearance in the Pedro Almodóvar film 'The Skin I Live In' in 2011 launched the artist and now has the rest of the world pricking up its ears.
