La Verònica’s shortcomings (huge popularity with young foreigners, minuscule spacing between tables) are all but hidden by night, when candles add a cosy glow to the red, orange and yellow paintwork. Its pizzas are crisp and healthy, and come with such toppings as smoked salmon, or apple, gorgonzola and mozzarella. Salads include the Nabocondensor, a colourful tumble of parsnip, cucumber and apple.
