La pinzellada flamenca: Entre orillas

This project is the brainchild of Cristina López and percussionist Carlos Cuenca, who wanted to create a cultural exchange between Cuba and Spain. 'Entre Orillas' ('Between Shores') is the result of research on the influence between the two cultures. It's the discovery and look into the processes and elements that have influenced the integration of Cuban music and dance into Spanish music and dance, and vice versa, leading to certain styles like the guajira, tangos and habaneras in a very personal way, while paving the way for new paths and experiences.
