May 17–May 19 | Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg: "Rodin"
There's no one in the international dance scene quite like choreographer Boris Eifman. The Russian's reimaginings of classic ballets (Red Giselle), plays (Russian Hamlet) and novels (The Karamazovs) involve lavish sets and costumes and classical steps blended with acrobatics, often in a darker, more sexualized atmosphere. Auditorium Theatre.

June 13–16 | Hubbard Street Dance Chicago: danc(e)volve
Hubbard Street dancers cut their choreography chops during this in-house choreographic workshop in partnership with the Museum of Contemporary Art. Five new pieces make up the program, including dances from company members Jonathan Fredrickson, Penny Saunders, former HSDC dancer Robyn Mineko Williams, HSDC rehearsal director Terence Marling and HS2 member Andrew Wright. July 22–Aug 4 | Rhythm World 2013
Chicago Human Rhythm Project's annual tapstravaganza, now more than two decades into its history, works in dance classes and workshops for aspiring tappers and percussive artists. It concludes with its JUMA! performance, with tappers like CHRP artistic director Lane Alexander and members of the BAM! ensemble. American Rhythm Center.
