Time Out says

A central figure of the Surrealist movement, Mary Louise Reynolds studied under a master bookbinder in Paris. She learned how to incorporate materials like broken teacup handles, thermometers and reptile skins into her bindings, applying a surrealist approach to the craft. Decidedly Surreal showcases some of the 74 volumes bound by Reynolds that are collected within the Ryerson and Burnham Libraries.
