Wisconsin is having a moment in Chicago right now. Milwaukee export Colectivo Coffee opened its first Chicago location last week, and now there's going to be a Wisconsin-themed bar from the team behind Deadbolt and Moneygun's Dustin Drankiewicz. The Pink Squirrel (2414 N Milwaukee Ave) takes its name from a classic concoction that's commonly served in Wisconsin cocktail lounges—a mix of Crème de Noyaux, crème de cacao and heavy cream—and is set to open later this summer.

The bar will serve a menu of six to 10 boozy ice cream drinks and an extensive list of retro cocktails from the ’50s through the ’70s, including piña coladas, Brooklyn Egg Creams and Harvey Wallbangers. The Pink Squirrel will also have a walk-up window for passersby to grab milkshakes and root beer floats (of the virgin variety, obviously), making it the perfect place to stop for a refreshing beverage on a summer stroll through Logan Square.
