The five best things to do this weekend in Chicago

1. See an all-star stand-up set

Romance guru and former Parks & Recreation star Aziz Ansari headlines Funny Or Die's Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival in Tinley Park. He’s joined by the unstoppable Amy Schumer (fresh off Billy Joel’s piano) and other killer comedians like T.J. Miller (we love him in Silicon Valley), Anthony Jeselnik, Jay Pharoah, Nick Kroll, Rachel Feinstein and Jeff Ross. (Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre, 19100 S Ridgeland Ave, Sat 5pm. $20-$99.75)

2. Sip sangria with fashion makers

Fashion Fest is back in Chicago and taking over Division Street with after-dark fashion shows, over 50 local designers and a solid lineup of bands headlined by the The Mowgli's on Saturday and The Black Lips on Sunday. Browse trends or relax in style at the VIP Fashion Suite and Sangria Lounge. (Division St between Damen Ave and Wood St, 12pm. $5 suggested donation)

3. Take thriftin’ to the next level

Thrift store junkies, garage sale addicts and antiquers alike flock to the monthly Randolph Street Market Festival where more than 200 vendors sell anything and everything vintage. Don’t miss the vinyl swap, fancy food market or beer garden. You can even bring your treasures for appraisal. (Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Union Hall, 1340 W Washington Blvd, Sat & Sun 10am–5pm. $10, advance $8)

4. See a folk powerhouse

Swedish singer Kristian Matsson of the Tallest Man on Earth makes critically adored folk songs and has retained a cult following for years. There’s simply nothing like seeing this one-man powerhouse live. (Thalia Hall, 1807 S Allport St, Sun & Mon 9:30pm. $27.50–$32.50, opera box $240)

5. Watch Blue Velvet with a “PB&J"

Enter the unnerving mind of David Lynch this weekend at PBR Movie Night. Each month a different flick is screened on the patio of Boiler Room, and yes, the PB&J special (a slice of pizza, a 16-ounce PBR and a shot of Jameson for $8.50) is a must. RSVP for a beer and PBR koozie. (Boiler Room, 2210 N California Ave, Sun 8pm. Free)
