The three best things to do today in Chicago

1. Relive the good ole’ days

See an exhibit from photographer Alice Hargrave who uses memories as theme throughout her work in the exhibit Paradise Wavering. Large format photographs display complex emotions and everyday objects to develop a relationship with her audience. (Hyde Park Art Center, 5020 S Cornell Ave, 9am-8pm.)

2. Laugh it up

The iO Theater has some pretty out-there, bizarre shows, but Felt tops that roster. See an entire improv comedy show put on by a hilarious group of puppets. (iO Theater, 1501 N Kingsbury St, 8:30pm. $5)

3. Head to the theater

Have an elegant night out at the Lyric Opera. Hum along to the beautiful, classic play The King and I, which stars Kate Baldwin and Paolo Montalban. (Civic Opera House, 20 N Wacker Dr, 7pm. $29–$199)
