The Whistler and Revolution Brewing team up to create a new “house beer”

The Whistler turns out some really phenomenal cocktails (we're currently really big fans of the Shoot the Moon, with blended scotch, cherry bounce, lemon, honey and allspice) and always puts on awesome events—and now they’ve teamed up with Revolution Brewing to create a brand new house beer just for the Whistler.

Whistler Gold is available on draft at the Whistler now for $4 (a steal, right? That’s like, barely more than your PBRs cost). An amalgamation of the ideas from the Whistler team and Marty Scott, Revolution’s quality and innovation lead brewer, the goal is to brew a beer that is sessionable (it’s 5% ABV) and drinkable for everyone, or the embodiment of a “house beer,” but still original enough for the Whistler crowd.

It’s a golden ale dry hopped with Fuggle hops and has the fruit and wood aromas of a double IPA but won’t smack you in the face like one—it’s light and crisp, like a traditional English summer beer.
