Great news for chicken lovers—we're getting a Nando's Peri Peri! The South African chain, which focuses on grilled chicken slathered with peri peri sauce, has U.S. locations in D.C., Maryland and Virginia and will be opening two Chicago outposts (on Randolph Row and at Halsted and Clybourn) next spring.

I first had Nando's a decade ago in London (and then numerous times in D.C. when I lived there), and totally fell for the grilled chicken, which I liked with the lemon and herb sauce or the extra hot peri peri. What's peri peri? It's a bright, garlicky Portuguese sauce made from piri piri chili peppers, and it's fantastic on chicken. Nando's also has a variety of sandwiches, salads and other dishes, but you don't need to go beyond grilled chicken and a side of fries—though the side of chicken livers is pretty delicious as well.
