Will Ferrell to play for White Sox and Cubs on Thursday

Both of Chicago's baseball teams will add a temporary player to their spring training rosters on Thursday. Loudmouth funny man Will Ferrell is set to play all nine positions in an exhibition game for the White Sox, Cubs and three other teams in the course of six hours. He will be helicoptered between each game.

Ferrell is doing the stunt for an HBO special (and presumably to help promote his latest lackluster film, Get Hard) which goes to show how seriously Major League Baseball treats its spring training schedule.

This won't be Ferrell's first time suiting up for a professional baseball club. In 2010, he took the mound under the moniker Rojo Johnson for the Round Rock Express, a Texas minor league team. It panned out exactly how you'd expect.
