We're cluing our coast-dwelling friends into what Chicagoans already know: While our apartments aren't cheap, they're freakin' palaces compared to NYC and L.A.

New Yorkers are obsessed with apartment prices, no doubt because they are forking over most of their paychecks for apartments so small they have to store their clothes in the oven (if they even get an oven).
