RECOMMENDED: Chicago apartments guide
New Yorkers are obsessed with apartment prices, no doubt because they are forking over most of their paychecks for apartments so small they have to store their clothes in the oven (if they even get an oven). To that end, this week our colleagues at Time Out New York joined forces with our other colleagues at Time Out L.A. to see which city has better apartments, most of which are studios, for the baseline price of $2,000/month.
To which we say: $2,000/month? For a studio?!?? Honey, sweetie, listen to us: It's competely insane to pay that much. Come to Chicago, where $2,000 gets you a goddamn palace. Check out the slideshow below for five $2,000 Chicago apartments from real estate site Zumper that will make you coast-dwelling suckers weep with envy.
