4th on 53rd Parade

Enjoy an old-fashioned 4th of July parade in Hyde Park. This year’s lineup includes more than 150 Kenwood High School band members and cheerleaders, Steve Thomas and the Hyde Park Hot Five Plus Two, Perfect Pitch, Bryant and the Blues Kings, ITwirl Dance, the Girl Scouts of Hyde Park color guard, Boy Scout Troop 599, the International Horsemen’s League and many more groups. In addition to performances on the main stage, the afternoon’s festivities include face painting, an inflatable bouncy house, a chess challenge, balloons, origami, a petting zoo and the International Horsemen’s corral. There will also be classic games, such as the seed spit, make a mummy, fish pond, clown bean bag toss and the milk spill.
