[title]There’s something about summer festivals that makes it okay to don a bathing-suit top and booty shorts, even if you’re nowhere near a body of water (or Hazzard County, Georgia, for that matter). Taking skin-baring to a whole new level, Steamworks’ Twisted booth at Market Days (Aug 11 and Aug 12) invites you to enact a raunchy version of the classic kids’ game featuring male porn stars garbed in Twister–colored undies as part of the playing mat. Spin the wheel and it could mean placing a right hand on a porn star’s left butt cheek, giving their multicolored undies a whole new practical purpose. “The incentive to take the stage is you get to play with all these really hot models,” says Steamworks general manager Nirmalpal Sachdev, who insists the game is a big hit not just with gay men, but also with bachelorettes, kids, and even mothers and daughters. But if you’re planning to bring the whole family, arrive early to the Midwest’s largest gay fest: “As the day progresses, people get a bit more friendly,” Sachdev warns, adding that after a couple of rounds of Twisted, the porn stars sometimes get the women participants to flash the audience. This body-contorting spectacle isn’t just fun and games; all the money raised from attendees who pay to spin the Twisted wheel—upwards of $3,000 each Market Days weekend—goes directly to Chicago House, which provides housing and other support to people with or at risk of HIV and AIDS.
