Providing a hard-stuff counterpoint to the Guinness Storehouse, Dublin's other big alcohol-tied tourist attraction, the Old Jameson Distillery does its best to sell visitors on the cultural mythology behind John Jameson's fabled whiskey (always, in this case, spelt with an 'e'). A variety of displays and audio-visual demonstrations provide background; highlights include beautifully crafted models of distillery vessels. The tours could delve a little deeper, but at least you'll get to taste some of the stuff at the end.
