This aquarium is constructed on a fairly humble scale, so there isn't much in the way of child-friendly wow factor. However, the wide variety of marine species, most of them native to these shores, means there's plenty to see, while the emphasis on conservation is commendable. There are baby sharks, seahorses and more. All in all, the National Sealife Centre is a great place to explore, and its commitment to children's education is exemplary (the recent Junior Sea Life Conference being a case in point).
