The Basque outfit of En La Lona specialises in blending physical theatre, circus, puppetry, clown and dance techniques, having been around since 1997. In this visually alluring multicultural street dance piece, ‘Éxodo’ (or exodus) utilises elements of acrobatics, fire play and humour in an effort to reflect climate change-induced displacement. Moving around in massive bicycle wheel-like structures, the talented troupe embarks on a seemingly never-ending journey in search of a place to call home and rejoices when they stumble upon a new city, resulting in improvised and highly interactive situations with the audience and surroundings.
