Pool Party!

Balinese artist Dodit Artawan explores the issues of culture, liberalism, and the pursuit of pleasure through oil-on-canvas pieces of Barbie dolls and alcohol bottles in this solo exhibition. In addition to Barbie, Dodit also presents Sales Promotion Girls (SPG), who are young and attractive girls employed to promote products in Indonesia, as an embodiment of the fact that sex sells.
