Bangsar Book Club

This month the book club will discuss Haruki Murakami’s novel ‘Norwegian Wood’. The story follows the friendship of Toru and Naoko, who are brought together by the suicide of Kizuki, Toru’s best friend and Naoko’s boyfriend. After Kizuki’s death, Toru falls in love with the beautiful but emotionally damaged Naoko, and is devastated when she withdraws into a sanatorium. Matters are complicated when he makes friends with bubbly university student Midori, and ultimately Toru must choose between the two.
