The Weekend Japanese Film Show: The Wife of Gegege

The Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur's (JFKL) free monthly movie screening is still going strong after over a decade. Screening this month is 'The Wife of Gegege', which is based on the 2008 autobiography of the same name by Mura Nunoe. The story details the relationship between Mura Nunoe and Mizuma Shigeru before the latter becomes a successful manga artist. Viewers will travel back in time, witnessing the couple’s struggles living in poverty.
