MPO Jam-Busters: Swing Kings

Let down your hair with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and their friends at this early-evening event. Featuring the MPO's Daniš brothers Miroslav and Peter on violin and mandolin, Joe Pruessner on acoustic bass and vocals and Matt Larsen on clarinet, let yourself be transported back to the early swing era of upbeat acoustic music. On the ensemble are also Gabe Evans on piano and vocals, as well as Az Samad and Ahmad Zapuwan Ismail on guitars. Expect to revisit music made famous by Django Reinhardt and the folk music that inspired the gypsies.
